Elizabeth Ladas

Elizabeth Ladas, age 74, passed away on Sunday Nov. 15, 2015 at her home in LaValle. She was born Jan. 7, 1941 in Chicago the daughter of the late Steve and Katherine (Fotopoulos) Kalesperis. Elizabeth married Nicholas Ladas on June 19, 1960 in Chicago. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Elizabeth was a woman of strong Christian faith.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 55 years Nicholas; 4 sons, Peter Ladas of Eden Prairie, MN; Anthony Ladas of Sycamore, IL; Steven Ladas of Roseville, MN; Michael (Patty) Ladas of Naperville, IL; 15 grandchildren, Stephanie, Alissa, Nicholas S., Nicholas A., Elizabeth, Casandra, Christopher, George, Brennan, Nicholas P., Ellie, Lukas, Kaden, Zoe, and Nicholas M., a brother George Kalesperis of Hayden, ID. Elizabeth is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, twin sister Carolyn Kalesperis, and a brother Myron Kalesperis.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday Nov. 20, 2015 at ASSUMPTION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 11 N. Seventh St. Madison with Fr. Michael Vanderhoef presiding. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thurs. Nov. 19, 2015 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, and also from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at church.
