Elinor Schmiedlin

Madison - Elinor M. Schmiedlin, age 93, passed away on April 27, 2012. She was born on July 29, 1918 in Dane, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alvin and Mary (Richards) Arneson. Elinor was united in marriage to Willard W. "Bill" Schmiedlin on April 5, 1941 in Madison. For over 30 years, she was active in the Boy Scouts of America. She also was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Elinor is survived by her two sons; Robert (Gail) Schmiedlin of Baraboo and Wayne (Kathy) Schmiedlin of Sun Prairie, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard, two sons; William and Gary Schmiedlin, her brother Robert Arneson and sister Delores Schwaner. Funeral services will be held at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 12 Noon with Reverend Sarah Harrold officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 11:00am until the time of service. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Legacy Gardens and Agrace HospiceCare for the above and beyond care given to Elinor.
