Eleanor Terhall

Sun Prairie - Eleanor M. Terhall, age 76, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Meriter Hospital in Madison surrounded by family and friends. She was born on April 18, 1938 in Marshall, Wisconsin the daughter of Elmer and Ethel (Frentzel) Grunewald. Eleanor was married to Charles Terhall on December 10, 1960. She spent her life caring for all those around her. She spent over 20 years on the Sun Prairie volunteer EMS, as well as an EMT at Angel Park Speedway. She opened her home to children who needed her care, and worked as a cook at Prairie Gardens Assisted Living for over 5 years before retirement.

When Eleanor wasn't busy she loved being outside in the garden. A wonderful cook, hours were spent creating delicious desserts and meals for all around her. In Essence, Eleanor was a woman who put everyone before her and created a blessed and loving home.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Terhall; her sons, Scott Terhall and Michael Weihert; her grandchildren, Kyle Terhall, Brandon Terhall and Rory Rudolf; brothers, Eugene (Wilma) Grunewald and Eldon (Dolores) Grunewald; sister, Elizabeth Robertson; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at PEACE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 232 Windsor St., Sun Prairie, on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Luke C. Werre officiating. Burial will follow at Medina Cemetery. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
