Elaine Perske

Elaine Doris Perske, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Rest Haven Health Care Center.
Elaine was born in Wausau, Wisconsin on March 17, 1925, the daughter of Bernard and Ella (Gruenwald) Gernetzky. Elaine married Bob Perske and they celebrated 63 years together. She was employed at Prange's. Elaine was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and spent many hours with Bob and their friends in various Shrine activities.
Elaine is survived by a sister-in-law, Rosemary Gernetzke; many nieces and nephews; and many friends especially those made during Elaine and Bob's 6 year stay at Rest Haven.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, WI. Friends may gather from 10:00 am till time of service. A private burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau, WI. A private service will be held at Rest Haven for her friends and caretakers.
