Elaine Gjermo

Stoughton - Elaine B. Gjermo, age 84, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at U.W. Hospital. She was born on October 26, 1932 in Minnesota, the daughter of Adolph and Edna Bredesen.

Elaine attended and graduated from Stoughton High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her two children. She also enjoyed family gatherings, tending to her gardens, and her card club. Elaine will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Steven (Kelly) Gjermo; son-in-law, Ben Gunderson; sister, Sonja (Allen) Olson; grandchildren, Joshua (Kami) Gunderson, Jeremy Gunderson, Kirsten Gjermo, and Shane Gjermo; great grandchildren, Jayden, Hannah, Alyssa, and Laney Gunderson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Bredesen.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; brother Arlo Bredesen; and daughter, Julie Gunderson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton with Pastor Paula Geister-Jones presiding. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday.
