Einer Braun

Einer Carl Braun passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the early afternoon after a tough battle with sepsis.

He was born February 10, 1932, to Albert and Hilda Braun in Merrimac, WI. From 1951 to 1953, Einer served in the Army during the Korean War. Seven years later, he and Audrey (Smith) were married in Gulfport, MS. He went on to run a farm supply distribution company before retiring in 2015. Einer lived most of his life in Waunakee although most recently lived in Portage. In his spare time, Einer enjoyed home improvement projects and taking in a baseball game or boxing match.

He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 52 years, and two sons (David and Timothy Braun).  He is survived by two children (Linda Braun, Chris Braun), eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandkids.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, WI  53597. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
