Madison: Edward Zweifel passed away on November 11, 2013 at Attic Angel. He was born in Monticello, Wisconsin on July 31, 1922 to John and Nellie (Krueger) Zweifel. He was a graduate of the University Wisconsin- Madison, and served in World War II. Upon his return from the war, he married Creola Duppler on December 28, 1945. Ed joined the State of Wisconsin Banking Department where he spent his entire career until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of the Packers and the Badgers.
Edward is survived by his wife Creola, one daughter Peggy (Steve) Martin; grandchildren Matt (Emily) Zweifel; Sarah Zweifel; Matt Martin and Jason Martin; and two great-grandchildren Brian and Greta Zweifel; and a sister Irma Hamilton. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dwight Zweifel and sister Mildred Hagon, and his son Philip Zweifel and daughter-in-law Deborah.
A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Avenue, Madison Wisconsin 53705. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2115 Rowley Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin 53726 with Father Kuhlmann officiating. A private burial will follow at St. Williams Cemetery.
