Waunakee/Dane
Edward Seiler, age 83, died on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at his home in Waunakee. He was born in Lodi on Sept. 6, 1930 to Nicholas and Louise (Hochstein) Seiler. Ed served in the Army during the Korean War and was proud of his military service. He married Mary Hellenbrand on Oct. 13, 1953 and they recently moved to Waunakee from Dane. He was employed at Tuscarora in Pardeeville and retired in 1992. He enjoyed playing cards, playing slot machines, watching the Packers and Brewers, fishing, but most of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Mary; three sons, Gary (Mary), David (Sally), Mike (Cindy); two daughters Janet (Steve) Ballweg, and Jane (Kevin) Maier; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister Delores Seiler; sister and brothers-in-law, Marcie Marks, Rita Heimbecker, Sally (Charlie) Ruhland, Vince (Betty), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Marie Sellner and a brother Clarence. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sisters-in-law, Edwin Hellenbrand, Sylvester Hellenbrand, Bernadette Endres, Albert "Pope" Hellenbrand, Rosetta Taylor and Francis Wagner. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, 11:00 AM at Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Michael's Church in Dane. Rev. Chad Droessler will preside. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
