DEFOREST/WAUNAKEE-Edward "Eddie" Buhler, age 87, passed away on December 5, 2015. He was born on May 10, 1928, oldest son of Edward F. and Sybilla (Koch), and grew up in Waunakee. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and after the war, he met and married his wife of 55 years, Mary (Wagner). Mary preceded him in death in 2011. Together they farmed for 40 years. Ed enjoyed caring for his family, farming, visiting with friends and always enjoyed a good laugh.
Ed is survived by his six children; John, Jeanine (Chris) Jesmer, Jayne (Keith) Kuhnly, Jeff (Jill), Jerry (Leslie), and Jackie (Dan) Healy; seven grandchildren, Michael and Rachel Kuhnly, Emily Jesmer, Matthew and Bradshaw Buhler, and Jacey and Coltn Healy; his sister, Carol Miller and brother, Richard; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Hill, Bill Wagner and Jerome Wagner; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Buhler and Bertilla Wagner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his daughter-in-law, Jenny; his brother, Donald; and sister, Dorothy Hill; his brothers-in-law, Donald Miller, John and Joe Wagner, Ben Kuehn, and Laverne Endres; sisters-in-law, Joan Buhler, Jeanette Endres, , Kay Kuehn, Mary Kuehn, Charlotte Wagner, and Teresa Wagner.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 11:00 am at St. Mary of Lake Catholic Church, 5460 Mary Lake Road, Waunakee. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10, 2015, from 4-7. Friends may also call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
