Douglas Hartshorne

Madison- S. Douglas Hartshorne, age 79, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare Center. Doug was born in Madison on May 7, 1933, the son of Stephen and Martha Hartshorne. He was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 139. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carol; five children, Diane Aaroen, Arthur Kampmeier, James (Karen) Kampmeier, Carl (Barb) Kampmeier and Renee (Mark) Kennedy; 11 grandchildren, Becky (Tony) Konkol, Dan (Katie), Danette (Tim), Jennilyn (Nic), Jeremy (Kelli), Ryan, Melissa, Josh (Melissa), Ben, Chris (Lisa) and Tyler (Hailey); nine great grandchildren, Sydney, Caleb, Lili, Lucas, Alex, Nolan, Leo, Peyton and Zoey; brother, David (Margie); sister, Joan (Ed); daughter, Sheri (Mike) Huver; son, David (Judy) Hartshorne; many relatives and friends; and his beloved feline companion, Kitty. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland, with Chaplain Timothy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, at the McFarland American Legion. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
