Douglas "Doug" Brown, age 66 passed away unexpectedly on a camping trip with his family and friends on Sunday, June 29, 2014. He died peacefully in his sleep ("Just how he would have chosen to go").Doug was born on November 4, 1947 in Eau Claire. He was the son of Frank and Edna (Northy) Brown. Doug worked for the State of Wisconsin for 20 years. He loved camping, fishing and loved the "Big Sky" country. He also enjoyed taking pictures. His final resting place will be in Idaho. Doug leaves behind his two daughters Amanda Anderson and Katrina Brown; son in law Brandon; grand-daughters Dakotah, Ava, Aliyana, Kataya and Blakeleah; sister Paula Brown Sinclair ( Jim); he also leaves behind many friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 1:00pm at Cress Funeral Home 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Wisconsin State Parks, National Parks or the international wolf center ( www.wolf.org)
