Dorothy Siedband

MADISON- Dorothy Siedband, 88, passed away on March 22, 2017.

Our mom, wife and Bubie.

Teacher, tireless volunteer, gardener, and friend.

Dottie was a longtime teacher in the Mazomanie (Wisconsin) Elementary School where she taught countless children with special needs how to read. She began teaching in Mazomanie in 1973 after serving as a reading teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools. A graduate of Wayne State University and the Johns Hopkins University, Dottie was most gratified by her work for many years as a caring volunteer for hospice patients. She and her husband, Mel, recently celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband Mel, sons Rick (Carol Sarnat) and Marc (Debbie), grandsons Elan, Michael (Asya Agulnik) and David and granddaughter Kyla.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth El, 2702 Arbor Drive, Madison. Interment at the Beth El Memorial Park in Reisterstown, Maryland.
