Dorothy J. Osterberg

Stoughton- Dorothy J. Osterberg, age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.   She was born in Stoughton on December 4, 1925 the daughter of Carl and Louise (Peterson) Hoff.   Dorothy was a life long resident of Stoughton.   She worked at the Truck Stop at Highway N and Interstate 90 for 20 years.   Dorothy was a member of First Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary.   She enjoyed playing BINGO and going out to eat with her lady friends.   After meeting Russell and having their first date, he told Dorothy he was going to marry her the next week and he did.   Together they enjoyed 53 years of marriage.   Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Donna (Bob) Maurer, Judith (Bob) Rabe and Linda (Larry) Morovits; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great great granddaughters; four brothers, Reuben, Carley (Donna), Charles ( Florence) and Billy Hoff; and many relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; five sisters; and three brothers.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton.   Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery South.   Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc.   The family would like to thank Hospice for assisting us in caring for our mother.
