Dorothy Mitchell

Dorothy J. Mitchell, 85, passed away peacefully following a brief illness. She was born in Darien, WI on October 25, 1931 to the late Noah and Martha (Kargel) Cornelison.

She married William Russell Mitchell in Indiana on April 3, 1950.

Dorothy is survived by her children Barbara (Gregory) Brewer, Cheryl (Michael) Lord, William "Ron" (Carrie), and Richard (Sandra); 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Orville Cornelison; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William; sister Irene Feltham; brother Norman "Bud" Cornelison; 2 sisters-in-law, Sheron and Shirley Cornelison; and brother-in-law, Albert Feltham.

Dorothy's family extends a special thank you to the staff of Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. for their care and support.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday evening from 5 until 7p.m and on Saturday, one hour prior to service. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. A reception will follow.
