Dorothy Kruse

MADISON - Dorothy M. Kruse, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 15, 1922 to George and Reba Evans. She devoted her life to children and caring for others. Many lives were touched by Dorothy in so many ways. She was the Matriarch of the family and held the role very humbly. Caring, loving, kind and strong are just a few words that describe the very heart and soul of Dorothy. She is survived by her Daughter, Kathleen (Tom) Lauber; her grandchildren: Kim Schmitt, Karri Hubanks, Kris Werner, Korinne (Jason) Kelley, Katrice McKernan, and Cindy Lauber; her great-grandchildren: Nikita (Ben) Sessler, Cory and Samantha Werner, Shani Russell, Breanna and Sam Hubanks, Lyndsie Kahl, Dahlton and Lawson Kelley, Shelby and Casey McKernan, and Tianna Lauber. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Kruse, her son, Bill Kruse, and her daughter Sharon Kruse. A memorial service will be held at the CRESS CENTER, 6021 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53705 on Wednesday, February 5th with visitation starting at 10:00 am and a service at 11:00 am.
