Dorothy Locke Grinde

Dorothy Grinde, age 91, passed away on Tues. Aug. 11, 2009 at Oakwood Village West after a long illness. Dorothy grew up in Mount Horeb and graduated from UW-Madison in 1941. She married Dr. John Grinde and was a life long resident of DeForest. Dorothy taught speech and English at DeForest High School. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Mary Ann) and William (Valerie Maragus); grandsons, Jason and Matthew; and a sister Helen (Joseph) Brager. There will be a Memorial Service on Sat. Aug. 29, 2009, at 2:00 p. m. at Resurrection Chapel, Oakwood Village West, 6205 Mineral Point Rd., with Rev. Gwen Brandfass presiding. There will be a brief time for visitation following the service. Memorials may be made in Dorothy's name to the DeForest Area Public Library, 203 Library St. DeForest, WI 53532.
