Stoughton - Dorothy Lucille Foss, passed away on January 23, 2014 at Skaalen Home. She was born October 25, 1912 in the Town of Dunn, Wisc. The daughter of John and Sena (Dahl) Fjelstad of Utica.
On April 13, 1931, Dorothy married Johan Foss. They Farmed in rural Stoughton area until 1957. Dorothy also worked at the Stoughton High School (maintenance) and Stoughton Hospital (Dietary). She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and needlework. Dorothy and Johan loved to travel the country and after retirement, spent several weeks a year in the warmer states in their camper.
She is survived by her children, daughter Beverly (Foss) Morales of Las Cruces, NM (Paul Sanchez), son Wayne L. Foss of Marion, IA (Pat - Wife), daughter in-law Phyllis Foss wife of son Harland of Edgerton, WI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tony Morales of Las Cruces, NM, Anna Thompson of St. Petersburg, FL, Amy Foss of Mt. Horeb, WI, and Tia Foss of Marion, IA, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johan O. Foss, son Harland L. Foss of Davis, IL, grandson Robbie Morales of Riverside, CA, sister Julianna Jones of Meeker, CO, brother Stanley Fjelstad of Monona, WI, sister Olive Cleven of Watertown, WI, and brother Earl Fjelstad of Barneveld, WI
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Skaalen Home Chapel, 400 N Morris St, Stoughton, WI 53589, with Rev. James Koza presiding. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Cress Funeral Home of Stoughton, 206 W. Prospect and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at Skaalen Home Chapel.
