Dorothy Bowie

d. December 23, 2012

On October 3, 1936 an angel was born to Carrie Raines and Author Fields. Dorothy M. Bowie was a native of the Madison community since 1959 and a faithful member of Second Baptist Church. Although Dorothy worked for the Lorain Hotel for several years, her passion was taking care of others. She took care of many children and siblings out of her home. Two of whom were family members, her brother Sunny who was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome and her mother Carrie Rainies up until the time of her death. Until this day, many still call her Auntie because of her compassion and love for others. She lived a long and fulfilling life. Many truly loved her.

On December 15th, 2012 Dorothy laid at rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 77. She leaves to treasure her memory two brothers, Billy Reynolds and Jerome Reynolds; two sisters; Jean Reynolds and Madell Car all of Madison, Wisconsin; 4 children Charles Jackson of Cortland, NY, Kathann Jackson, and Eddie Jackson, both of Madison, WI, and Willie (Valerie) Jackson who preceded her in death; 16 Grandchildren Tawany, Thomas, Tiana, Thadious, Janessa, Aleshia, Rita, Angela, Janell, Jasmin, Chansi, Charles, Jr., Precious, Justin, Breanna, Devonna, Jasmine and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends that she loved and mothered on her amazing journey.
