Dorothy Grace Alroy

Dorothy Grace Alroy, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at HospiceCare in Fitchburg.   Dorothy was born July 23, 1923 the daughter of Arno and Martha (Nadolski) Zimmerman in Milwaukee.   She worked as a Registered Nurse before her marriage to Bernard ""Bud"" Alroy.   Dorothy is survived by her children, Evelyn (Paul) Bareno, Michael Alroy, Faye (Ron Williams) Alroy, and Elaine (David) Smith, her beloved granddaughter, Micaela Frudden, a sister, Lila, and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernard ""Bud"", and her sisters, Martha, Marion, and Esther.   Dorothy requested that no services be held.   The family would like to thank the staffs of Oakwood, Meriter Hospital, HospiceCare, and to Dorothy's neighbors for their compassion and care.   Dorothy had a love for dogs, and the family suggests that memorials be made in her name to The Dane County Humane Society, 5132 Voges Rd., Madison WI, 53718.
