Doris Schroeder

Doris Clarissa Schroeder, passed away on November 29, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on October 10 1916 in Watertown, WI, the daughter of Christian and Julia (Pitterle) Stangler. She married LeRoy L. Schroeder on May 16, 1942 in Watertown. LeRoy preceded Doris on September 27, 2000.

Family was everything to her. She had a passion for living and learning. Doris was very fond of artwork, antiquing, and creation. She had an artistic eye for everything.

Doris is survived by her 4 children; LeAnne (Jim) Swiggum, Lois Hewitt, Christine (John) Bettner, and James Schroeder; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 15 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband LeRoy, son Joseph, granddaughter Heather, and her 8 siblings.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at St. Jerome Church, 1550 Farnham St., Columbus, WI with Father Steve Kortendick presiding. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Jerome Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made out to St. Jerome School.
