Doris Rossing

Doris M. Rossing, 85, of Madison, WI was born to Frank and Letha Iverson, in Highland, on March 30, 1929 and passed away Christmas morning 2014.

Doris is survived by her son Glen (Kathleen) Rossing, Madison; daughters, Debra (John) Blaska, Marshall and Terri Acker, San Diego; 7 grandchildren, Craig (Jane) Rossing, Jeff (Madeleine) Rossing, Kari (Tim) Gollup, Nathan (Krista) Rossing, Michelle (Travis) Wareham, Greg (Jenni) Stenson, Jenny (Alan) Casselman; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister Phyllis Bean, Bloomington, IL; brother Kenneth Iverson, Highland, WI; many nieces and nephews; and her 3 very close friends Helen, Dorothy and Jean.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Iverson.

She loved feeding her birds, reading, always looked forward to gambling with her friends, summer parties in Janesville, and making lefsa with her nieces. She especially loved the daily visits with her great granddaughter Taylor with whom she had a special relationship.

Mom, grandma, always put herself last and was always willing to help out under any circumstance. She was a kind person with a special sense of humor. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Doris' Life will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The National Osteoporosis Foundation would be a lovely way to honor our mom.
