Doris Ripp

WAUNAKEE-Doris M (Spahn) Ripp went to her eternal home in Heaven on May 2, 2018. Doris was born on December 2, 1927, to Joseph and Agnes (Keller) Spahn. Doris graduated from Edgewood High School in 1946 and was married to Vernon Ripp on September 22, 1949. They raised four children, Ronald (Nancy) of Poynette, Tom of Waunakee, Jean Ann (Don) Stronach of Rio, and Dan (Lori) of Waunakee; six grandchildren, Jason Ripp, Travis Stronach, Brandon (Nykole) Stronach, Matthew (Sarah) Ripp, Michelle (Joel) Acker, and Mike (Kelly) Ripp; eight great grandchildren, Azyiah, Conor and Cory Ripp, Brooks and Devin Acker, Kenadi and Caysen Ripp and Tilly Stronach. She has two brothers, Stan Spahn and Jim (Mary Ann) Spahn; one sister, Jane Kaltenberg; and many other relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; son, Ron; her mother and father; and a brother, David.

Doris' life revolved around her family. She was a gentle, loving, caring mother, grandmother and great grandma. She always put family first. She would stop whatever she was doing to spend time visiting with them. She always enjoyed going to the sporting events and school programs of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always very supportive and giving of her time to those she loved. You could talk to her about anything. She would always listen and never judge.

Doris worked 5 years at UW Residence Halls, and 23 years for Miller's Sentry Foods. Throughout life Doris loved dancing, baseball, cooking and doing a large variety of crafting. Doris will truly be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
