Donovan Olday, Sr.

WAUNAKEE - Donovan Leroy Olday, Sr., age 87, of Waunakee, WI passed away on Feb. 19, 2017 at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison. He was born Dec. 1, 1929 in Madison, the son of William and Delia Olday. He married Peggy Joyce Bender on May 6, 1949 in Madison, WI.
Don served in the National Guard. Don was active in his church for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending quality time with his wife and children.
Survivors include 3 daughters, 2 sons, 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Peggy, 2 grandsons and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 24 from 11:00 am to Noon at the Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI. A private graveside burial will follow.
