Donna Elizabeth Gross, 80, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of
kindness, warmth, and love for others. She was born November 16, 1945, at Stoughton Hospital to
Donald Franklin Gross and Elizabeth “Betty” Marie (Arnold) Gross.
Donna lived her life rooted in family, faith, and community. A graduate of Monona Grove High School,
she went on to build a long and respected career at Oscar Mayer/Kraft Foods, where she worked for 36
years as an Administrative Assistant. She took pride in her work and in the friendships she formed
throughout her career. After retirement she worked part-time for Rome Systems Inc. as an
administrative assistant for 9 years. Donna was also a member of the National Secretaries Association
and the Lioness Club, reflecting her commitment to service and connection with others.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Confirmed at McFarland Lutheran Church by Pastor Bergee,
Donna later shared her gentle spirit by teaching Sunday School, touching the lives of many children and
families.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her brother, William Arnold (Mary) Gross; and her cherished
family members, Scott (Brandi) Gross, Eric Gross, Lisa (Michael) Gross Jensen, Charles Gross, Joey Gross,
Ellie Gross, Brayden Jensen, Theo Gross, and Amelia Jensen. She also leaves behind many dear friends
whose lives were enriched by her kindness and presence.
Those who knew Donna remember her as a warm, friendly person who made others feel welcome and
cared for. She was an incredible sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, deeply loved by her family and
treasured by all who knew her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Donna’s wonderful neighbors, especially, Mike, Ann, Betty,
and Dawn. Whose kindness allowed her to remain in the home she loved with her beloved cat, Abby.
Their support meant more than words can express.
Visitation will be held at McFarland Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow.
Lunch will be served after the service, and burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery
following the meal.
Donna’s life was a quiet testament to compassion, loyalty, and grace. Her memory will live on in the
hearts of all who loved her.
