Donald Hewitt

Donald (Donnie) "Tic" Hewitt, age 72, died on Monday, July 28, 2014, at his home in Dane following a brief illness. He was born on the family farm in Dane on Aug. 26, 1941, to George and Mary (Pape) Hewitt. Donnie lived on the family farm for his entire life and loved farming. He enjoyed gardening, classic cars, sports and his family. He gave generously to many charities over the years. Donnie faced his illness with a steadfast determination.

Survivors include his four children; Jeff (Jodie) Hewitt, Joe (Lori) Hewitt, Debbie (Eric) Beisbier, Sherri (Mike) Holt; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob (Connie), Mike (Patti) and Dave (Pat) Hewitt. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy and his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Michaels Dane. Rev. Chad Droessler will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Winn Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee. Friends may also call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
