Donald Brabender

ASHTON/WAUNAKEE - Donald W. "Don" Brabender, age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 20th, 2017 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg. He was born in Ashton on Nov. 20, 1928 to Chris and Gertrude (Wipperfurth) Brabender.

Don was united in marriage to Loretta Endres on Oct. 30, 1952 in Waunakee, WI.
He was a lifetime member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ashton. Don was a long time member of Labor Union #464. He was an Army Veteran having served between 1954 - 1956. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the cabin with family. He was also a long time follower of the Ashton Home Talent baseball team. He also enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers and Badgers.

Don is survived by his wife Loretta, his children, Mark, Dan (Patti), Jean (Dahn) Austin, Lori (Tom) Weber, Kathy Brummel and Vern, 11 grandchildren, Corey (Tricia), Kyle (Stacie) Brabender; Katie (John) Parfievich; Matt (Lindsey), Mike (Robin) and Scott Brabender; Andrew (Serah), Austin and Braedan Brummel; Casey and Chris Weber; 7 great grandchildren, Evan, Abby, Elodie, Eli, Owen, Miles and Sophia, and his sister Delores Acker and other relatives and many friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Dorella, a brother Vincent (Hermina), and several in-laws.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 7121 County Trunk K, Middleton with Rev. Tait Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 County Trunk Q, Waunakee. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of servicec. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank Don's nurses Joanna and Melanie of Agrace Hospice Care and his caregiver Cheryl for the wonderful care provided to Don. Also, to Rev. Tait Schroeder for all the prayers and visits.
