Madison - Dominic Matthew May, age 5, passed away due to an automobile accident on Friday, July 13, 2018, at UW Hospital. He was born on May 1, 2013, in Madison, to Meghan (Johnson) and Casey May.
He is survived by his parents, Meghan and Casey May; a sister, McKenna and a brother, Beckett; grandparents, Mary Kay and Dennis Johnson, and Janet and David May; and great-grandmother, Mary May. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles; Michael Johnson, Kristi (Ryan) Hubert, Tony (Stacey) May, Tierney (Brandon) Werth, and cousins, Reegan and Easton (Johnson), and Aiden and Sydney (Werth).
Dominic was a little boy with a big heart. He was spunky, curious, busy, creative and compassionate. He always had a beautiful light about him, whether it was his crystal blue eyes or his genuine smile. Dominic loved to help others and would often put other's needs before himself. He aspired to be a police officer when he grew up, so he too could help others. This was evident in all that he did.
Dominic had a contagious smile that would light up the room. He enjoyed making others laugh and smile by telling jokes, acting silly, coming up with one liners, or giving you a hug.
Dominic was an active boy. He loved to watch and cheer on the Badgers. He enjoyed going to football games and searching for Bucky in the crowd. Dominic loved to try new things. He could often be seen playing soccer or kicking a ball, swimming at our local pool, riding his bike, and playing catch.
Dominic enjoyed time with family especially at the family cabins where he would fish. He would often be seen holding a fishing pole waiting for someone to go fishing with him, driving the boat with grandpa, or riding a 4-wheeler or tractor.
Even though he left the world too soon, he will always be remembered for his love of sports, his growing desire to be a police officer, inquisitive mind, and open heart.
