Dick Silvers

Sun Prairie - Dick E. Silvers, age 58, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016. He was born on March 6, 1958, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Edward and Betty (Washburn) Silvers. On June 23, 1996, Dick was united in marriage to his beloved wife Pamela in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Dick worked for the Sun Prairie School District for 27 years. He then went to work for the State of Wisconsin as a Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for the state capital until his retirement in 2012.

Dick's greatest love was spending time with his family. He had a passion for cooking, being outdoors, and having his dogs at his side. He treasured the simple things in life, like sitting on the porch and taking long walks. He will forever be in our hearts and will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew him.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Pam; children, Jennifer (William) Finley, Sarah Nelson, Nicole Silvers Niedermeier, and Ross Silvers; grandchildren, Zach and Brielle Finley, Kyiah and Brady Nelson, and Elice, Kaitlyn, Brett, and Joshua Niedermeier; sisters, Carey (John) O'Shea, and Deb Silvers (Barry Juneau)
and many more loved ones.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Leah.

Memorial services will be held at SUN PRAIRIE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 702 North Street, Sun Prairie, on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 11:00 am with Pastor Jenny Arneson officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service.
