It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Diane Virgene (Foss) Ring, 88, who earned her angel wings on Saturday, April 12th, 2025.
Diane was born on July 17th, 1936, to Kenneth and Johanna (Olson) Foss. She dedicated much of her life caring for others as she spent her working career in the healthcare field. On March 29th, 1974, Diane married Reuben Ring. She was the heart of her family – a devoted wife and mother, a proud and doting grandma and great-grandma, and a loving companion to her faithful dog. She cherished her Norwegian heritage and found joy in teaching her family to say “mange tusen takk.” She never missed a chance to spoil her grandkids and great-grandkids, who were the light of her life.
Diane’s life was filled with the simple joys that made every day special. Sassy, full of spunk, and always with a spark in her step, she never failed to make an impression. Her quick wit and playful spirit made her a joy to be around. Whether she was doing puzzles, playing cards, or calling out “Bingo,” she brought light into every room she entered. She was blessed with many dear friends and treasured every moment spent with them. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and cherished memories.
Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Reuben; children, Robin (Michelle) Brietzman, Roxanne (Nick) Hull, and Rick (Tracey) Brietzman; grandchildren, Kristin (Roger) Seimits, Bradley (Crystal) Brietzman, Kara (Bryan) Smith, Justin (Alison) Crubaugh, Katie (Chad) Ganshert, Melissa (Brad) Beckwith, Rachel (Joel) Rozeboom, Laura (Shad) Sherrington, Jackie (Adam) Marcum, and Jason (Liz) Brietzman; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Ring and Gail Ring; brother in-law, Ervin Ring; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Daisy.
She now rests peacefully, having lived a life well lived. In accordance with Diane’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Halverson’s Everything Nice, 1965 Barber Drive, Stoughton. Family and friends are welcome to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful person she was.
