Diana Brazell

MADISON - Diana L. Brazell, age 71, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Troy Brazell, her sons Sean Brazell and Jeremy Evans, her grandson Ian Evans, her brother Phillip Grillo, and her sister Mary Carey. Diana was born on October 28th 1946 in Bellville Michigan to father Dr. S. Phillip Grillo and mother June Grillo. She attended Bellville High School and Eastern Michigan University where she studied theater and special education. During her years as executive director of the Pregnancy Helpline in Madison, Wisconsin, Diana contributed meaningfully to the lives of many young mothers in need. She also worked for many years as a doula. Diana was a kind and deeply caring person with a warm sense of humor who brought great joy into the lives of her family and friends. Her beautiful singing voice will be missed by all who were privileged to hear it. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday Dec 15, 2017 at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Ave. with Fr. Robert Evenson presiding. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass on Friday at the church.
