Dennis G. Vols

Dennis G. Vols, age 59, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Stoughton Hospital.   He was born in Princeton, IL on April 19, 1950, a son of Gilbert and Elsie (Versluis) Vols.   He was united in marriage to Marijo Swanson on October 2, 1999 in Andover, IL.   Dennis retired from LP sales at Frontier FS, and then worked for Harlan Labs.   He loved fishing and was a devoted Bears fan.   While in Illinois, Dennis was a member of the Sheriff's Auxiliary.   He is survived by his wife, Marijo; mother, Elise; sister, Marilyn (Ron) VanNote; many nieces and nephews, and in-laws.   He was preceded in death by his father.   Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:00 am at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, with the Rev. Mark Petersen officiating.   Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery South in Stoughton.   The family will greet friends at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton on Sunday, July 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and again at church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.   Special thanks to Stoughton Hospital.
