Dennis Walter Krajewski passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Madison, Wisconsin, at the age of 86.
He was born on September 23, 1939, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Bronce and Isobel Krajewski.
Dennis built his life around hard work, family, faith, and a love of the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman who especially enjoyed spending time fishing at Fish Lake with his children. He also cherished the companionship of the many dogs he had throughout his life. His love for animals was so great that he moved his family for a short time to a farm near Duluth.
Dennis worked for Georgia Pacific (Superwood, Inc.) in Duluth for more than 30 years before retiring in 1994. He worked at a pressboard plant, and when he came home after a long shift, the scent of wood on his work clothes was a familiar reminder of his dedication and hard work.
Dennis proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1960. While stationed in California, he met the love of his life, Joyce Ann Collier, and they were married on February 23, 1963. Together, they built a beautiful life that eventually brought them from California back to Duluth, where Dennis had grown up. Though he worked hard to provide for his family, he always made time for his six children, a true testament to the kind of man he was. He was a strong believer in Christ and lived as a devoted husband, dedicated father, and loving grandfather.
Later in life, Dennis moved to southern Wisconsin to be closer to his two daughters who lived there. This gave Dennis and Joyce the opportunity to spend even more time with the grandchildren they adored. Dennis was deeply proud not only of his six children, but also of their spouses. He was a kind and gentle soul who made everyone feel welcome, even strangers.
Dennis’ enduring legacy lives on through his children, Pamela Weiss (Robert), Greg (Lesa), Joe, Jennifer Bradley (Mead), and Teresa; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, who will remember him fondly.
Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; his son, Michael Krajewski; his grandchildren, Emily Rose and Austin; and several extended family members who have joyfully welcomed him into heaven.
A Mass of Christian Burial will held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive, Sun Prairie, WI 53590, with visitation at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass.
His life, built on hard work, strong faith, and a deep love of family and the outdoors, will continue to inspire and guide all who knew and loved him.
