Delphine Meinholz

Delphine J. Meinholz, age 100, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Delphine was born on June 16, 1916 in Stevens Point, daughter to Victor and Martha ( Pionkowski) Liebe. She was united in marriage to Herbert Meinholz on October 1, 1955 in Stevens Point. Together they raised one daughter, Patricia.

Delphine had been a resident of Sun Prairie for 32 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. Delphine also loved cooking and planting flowers and vegetables in her garden.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Dennis Frye); sister in laws Dolores Meinholz and Sandra Jensen; and several nieces and nephews. Delphine was preceded in death by her husband and brothers Bernard, Michael and Stephen; and sister Bernice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive, Sun Prairie, on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of mass at the church.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Gregory Motl, Patti Laufenberg, and the wonderful caring and compassionate nurses and staff at Sun Prairie Health Care Center who helped take care of Delphine for the last 6 years.

Also, the family would like to thank Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt for visiting Delphine at the nursing home.
