Dawn Marie Sanger, age 48, passed away at Nazareth House in Stoughton on Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was born in Madison on February 8, 1964, a daughter of Neil and Carolyn (Halverson) Williamson. She attended McFarland High School, and worked at Prescription Optical for many years. Dawn was a lifelong resident of Stoughton, where she had many friends, and worked as a bartender. She loved being a grandmother, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by 5 children, Tasha, Deanna, Nicholas (Kyla), Kevin and Karah; by her best friend, Bill Doughtie; 7 grandchildren; father, Neil (Linda) Williamson; mother, Carolyn (Christopher 'Doc') Schanel; and 2 sisters, Kristen and Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her step mother, Patti. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, with Rev. Jim Halbach officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service. Following services, a reception will be held at Rev. Jim's Roadhouse in Stoughton. Memorials may be made in care of the family, or to the Make a Wish Foundation.
