David Schuster

August 13, 1939 — March 8, 2015

Middleton, WI: David J. Schuster, age 75, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 peacefully with family by his side. He was born August 13, 1939 in Columbus, WI, the son of Leon and Marion (Tomlinson) Schuster. David graduated from West High School in 1957, the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1963, and later received his Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University.
After graduating from college he was employed by General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. In 1972, David returned to Madison and taught history at Marquette and Van Hise Middle Schools. He later taught English at Memorial High School until his retirement in 1995.

David was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity while attending the UW, and later served as an Advisor to the fraternity. He performed with several Madison area community theatre groups, Oakwood's Encores, and UW's Humorology. He also enjoyed singing in local piano bars and an occasional song with local bands.

David's life long interest in history, spurred a love to travel. He was always looking to visit and learn from places of historical significance.

David was a loving father and husband. He is survived by his wife Pam of 46 years, son Alan, and daughter Tammy.

Family and Friends are welcome to share in a celebration of David's life on Saturday, March 14th from 1pm - 5pm at Heritage Senior Living, 1st Floor Community Dining Room, 6234 Maywood Avenue, Middleton. At the corner of Allen Blvd & Maywood Ave.
