Madison

Dave passed away peacefully April 9th due to natural causes. He was born in Jacksonville, IL, to the Reverend Kenneth Bruno Neumann and Gwendolyne (Proudfit) Neumann. Eventually spending his formative years in Chicago, Dave attended Carleton College in Minnesota, where he met his future wife, Joan Elizabeth Hooker. After graduation and a short stint at US Steel, Dave enlisted in the US Marine Corps. The Marines took Dave and Joan to San Diego. Following his service, having achieved the rank of Captain, he began a 30 year career at Security Pacific Bank, now a part of Bank of America. A few years after retirement Dave and Joan moved to Cave Creek, AZ. They thoroughly enjoyed exploring the desert Southwest, its geography and diverse cultures, while also taking various trips around North and South America, Europe, Russia and Africa. Dave is survived by his children, John (Mary), David, Mike (Dora) and Carrie Neeson (Paul); Nine Grandchildren; his sister, Krista; and Sisters-in-Law, Jean and Ronnie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his parents; brothers, James and J. Michael; and daughter-in-law, Dana. A small service will be held at a future date in Scottsdale, AZ. His family would like to thank the Drs. and Nurses at the UW Hospital and Clinics for his excellent and passionate care during his final years here in Madison.
