The family of David Edward McNier is deeply saddened to announce his passing on May 27th 2026. Born on June 2nd 1957 in Rockford, Illinois. He grew up in Ford Atkinson and spent his late teens in Middleton, Wisconsin. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1976 and spent his years in Madison, Wisconsin. David lived a full life. He cared deeply for those around him. When he lived in an apartment with individuals who had less than their means, he would make Thanksgiving dinner for everyone in the building and have everyone come take plates.

He will be lovingly remembered by his father William McNier (Shirley Watts), his sisters, Arlene (Jeffrey) Gocken and Mary Caravella, and his niece, Samantha. He will be forever cherished by his friends. 

A private ceremony remembering his life was held at Forest Hill Cemetery.
