David Lewis Lazenby

Stoughton- David Lewis Lazenby, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 12, 2023. He was born in Annona, Texas on September 20, 1933, the son of Robert E. and Lona M. Lazenby.

On August 29, 1953 David married Dona Ellei. Together they raised five children, and recently celebrated their 70^th wedding anniversary. David enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served his country for 21 years. Being a military family meant packing up the station wagon, along with the family pets, and moving multiple times. In 1977 the family settled in Stoughton. David worked for Universal Papers as a truck driver for over 20 years. He was a longtime member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church where he was an usher and served communion. David took great pride in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, being the perfect host and lovingly maintaining the family pool.

He is survived by his wife, Dona; four children, Dirk (Peggy), Dawn (Tony) Tatge, Davin (Donna), Dean (Becky Hankins); son-in-law, Ricky (Sandi) Howland; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and many relatives. David was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Howland; and two brothers.
