IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Oliver
Aaroen
July 8, 1953 – January 29, 2026
David O. Aaroen, a devoted father, proud grandfather, and lifelong lover of the outdoors, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 72.
Dave found his greatest joy in simple meaningful moments – time spent outside, surrounded by nature, and spending time cheering on his children and grandchildren. Whether it was a day in the woods, a walk under an open sky, or sitting in the stands watching a game, meet, or musical performance, he was happiest being present for the people he loved. He never missed an opportunity to support his family, his quiet pride and steady encouragement meant more than words could ever express.
As a father, he led by example, teaching the value of hard work, humility, and showing up. As a grandfather, he delighted in every milestone and accomplishment, never more fulfilled than when he was with his ex-wife and best friend, Diane Aaroen, watching their grandchildren grow and do what they love.
Dave is survived by his ex-wife, Diane Aaroen; children, Daniel (Katie) Aaroen and Danette (Tim) Grossman; grandchildren, Lillian Renee Grossman, Lucas Daniel Grossman, Nolan David Aaroen, and Alexander David Grossman; siblings, Ron Aaroen and Mary (Joe) Kruschek; niece, nephews along with many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Betty Lou Aaroen; son, David Arne Aaroen Jr.; and brother, Jack Aaroen.
He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his unwavering devotion to family, and the way he made those around him feel safe and supported in all ways. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories that will be cherished forever.
Visitation will be from 10-12 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Cress Funeral Service McFarland with service to begin at 12:00pm.
