David A. Skoien, 78, of Stoughton passed away on February 27, 2026 at his home.

Dave was born on June 14, 1947 in Stoughton to Ervin and Norma (Bruheim) Skoien.

He loved trains and collected train memorabilia. Dave also loved camping and pasta.

Dave is survived by his wife, Sandi Skoien; son, Todd Skoien (Mark Larson); brothers, Jack (Joyce) Skoien, and Norman (Sandy) Skoien, Jim (Wendy) Skoien; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Norma; daughter, Tammy Skoien

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, Mary 2, 2026 at The Otis Sampson American Legion Post 59803, N Page St, Stoughton, WI 53589, from 1PM until 4PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dane County Humane Society.

He was a loving, caring, and gentle man. He loved putzing in the yard and being outside. He finally accepted hugs from his sisters-in-law and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
