Darlene's family and friends spent many special moments with her during her stay at Agrace HospiceCare. Her family would like to thank the doctors and nurses there for the kindness and care they provided. Her family would also like to thank Monsignor Moellenberndt and Father Vince Brewer for the comfort and support they provided through their many visits during Darlene's illness and Dr. Christine Cox and Dr. Karen Lentfer who cared for her so well for so many years. A very special thank you is also extended to Darlene's dear friends, Cheri, Lisa and Terry.
Darlene taught many people patience, endurance, and hope. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She was a fighter, a breast cancer survivor of eight years. She never complained. She was selfless. She always put others first, worrying about them before herself. Her love for her family and friends and strong belief in God gave her peace. Her positive attitude, wit, laughter, and sparkling eyes will be dearly missed.
"Darlene, your strength and positive attitude were an inspiration to all of us. We will hold you in our hearts forever".
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Lupus Foundation and Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
