Darlene Dorn

Oregon/Stoughton- Darlene E. Dorn, age 86, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Nazareth Health and Rehab.  She was born in Stoughton on August 14, 1935, the daughter of Selmer and Eleanor Gretebeck.

Darlene worked as a State employee for most of her career.  On February 15, 1969 she married Jerome “Jerry” Dorn.  Together they enjoyed traveling the East coast and riding their BMW motorcycles.  Darlene volunteered for the Crazy Legs run in Madison for many years.  Her favorite pastimes were visiting with family and friends, playing cards, board games, puzzles, and going to the library.

Darlene is survived by two sisters-in-law, Lois and Hilly Gretebeck; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Edwin (Angie), Sanford, and Leonard Gretebeck.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect Street, Stoughton.  Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery South.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of services Saturday.  A special thank you to the staff of Nazareth for their care of Darlene for the last three years.
