DeForest

Daria Ann Deibele “Deebs” passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2025 at UW Madison East Hospital. She was born on November 5, 1999 in Duluth, MN to Albert and Wendy Deibele. Daria graduated from Duluth East High School in 2018. After high school, she went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in German. Daria found herself drawn to helping others and made the decision to become a Paramedic/Firefighter with various departments; most recently full time with Whitewater Fire and EMS and part time with Waunakee, Fitchrona and Dells-Delton EMS.

While in high school, Daria was involved in a variety of extracurriculars. Tennis was always her passion, starting to play at the age of 4. She was a member of the Duluth East Varsity tennis team and was a participant in the Minnesota State High School League state tournament with the Duluth East Tennis team. She enjoyed outdoor activities including both water and downhill skiing and spending time boating on the lake. Daria was passionate about dogs and often joked that if paramedicine didn’t work out, she’d get a house in the country and save every rescue dog she possibly could. She will forever be remembered for her generous heart, infectious laugh, feisty spirit and her indelible compassion for others.

Daria is survived by her parents, Albert and Wendy Deibele, brother Joey Deibele, grandparents Bill and Claudia Wold and MaryAnn Deibele and her devoted four-legged companion, Thor. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, friends, and fellow firefighters/paramedics. She is preceded in death by grandparents including special Great-Grandma Adele Johnson “Grandma J” and Grandfather Albert “Abbie” Deibele Jr.

A visitation for Daria will be held on Saturday, January 10 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Dr Madison WI, from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the City of Whitewater and the Whitewater Fire Department in honor of Daria Deibele.
