Dan Sackash

WAUNAKEE- Dan G. Sackash, age 63, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the UW Hospital. For two years, Dan battled Multiple Myeloma cancer having an amazing and positive attitude. Before cancer set in, he loved to ski, hike, found delight and freedom riding his bike, and also loved amateur photography.

Dan was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, attended Indiana University, and enjoyed Hoosier basketball. As a father, he dearly loved his boys and tried to pass on knowledge whenever he could. As his wife, I knew I was truly loved.

Dan is survived by me, his wife Becky; sons Luke and Jacob; sister Lisa (Greg) Overholt with their daughters Lena and Christy; mother-in-law Esther Jetter; many brothers- and sisters-in law; 19 nieces and nephews; and several cousins. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Sophia Sackash.

We will all miss him dearly.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, WI 53597 with a funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM. Please share your memories at www.CressFuneralService.com .
