Dale E. Woodford, Jr.

Dale Eugene Woodford Jr. was born on February 27, 1946, in Eau Claire WI as eldest son of five to parents Lorraine Elizabeth Anne Woodford (f.k.a. Hatch) and Dale Eugene Woodford Sr. Dale is survived by his siblings Randy, Mary Kay, Nancy and Gary; his children Sam, Justine, and Elizabeth; his grandchildren Zach, Laney, Aiya, and Bilal.

With a Bachelor of Arts from UW Eau Claire and Master of Fine Arts UW Madison, he began his career as a draftsman and paste-up designer for engineering, architectural, and commercial advertisement firms. He went on to run his own business, Dale Woodford Studio, creating custom artwork for a variety of customers in the southern Wisconsin area. He concluded his career with an entertainment company, It’s Your Party, creating large scale themed artwork, murals, and 3D displays for corporate parties and private weddings.

He has always been a skilled artist of many genres, being one who made masterpieces from the simplest of starting materials, but his favorite form was Realism, especially portraits and flowers, in pencil or acrylic.

Dad enjoyed good food, brews, and laughs with family and friends. His fondest memories being evenings at the Memorial Union Terrace, trips with “the guys” up north or drinks at JT Whitney’s, and socials at Sam’s or Randy’s with family and friends enjoying a bonfire or keeping Sam company while his crew fixed cars. His generous, gregarious spirit and unique laugh will be missed. He is loved and will always be in our hearts.
