Cynthia Gayle Anhalt (ne Marshment) was born on September 27th, 1960 to parents Philip Irwin and Bette Gayle. She spent her early years in Waukegan, Illinois before moving to a little house in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Cindy was very active all throughout her school career; playing flute in the marching band, running track and cross country, and singing in the Waukesha North high school choir. She graduated in 1978 and moved on to major in elementary education at UW La Crosse. There she met her husband Mike and they were married on October 5th, 1991.
Together Cindy and Mike moved to Port Washington and Cindy took a position teaching first grade in Sheboygan. In 1995, their daughter Emily was born and the little family moved all the way to New Jersey. Five years later, in May, their second daughter Caroline was born. Soon after, the family moved back to their roots and settled in Waunakee, Wisconsin, where they still reside.
Cindy had been a first grade teacher in Waunakee up until her illness and was an avid member in her church community at CROSSROADS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. She loved to help anyone who needed her and was extremely caring. Her family, along with her faith, were the two most important things in her life. She enjoyed reading whenever she had the chance and never passed up an episode of Seinfeld. Cindy loved animals, especially Packy, the dog she had as a child. She was incredibly strong throughout her ordeal, never once wavering from her strong faith and belief that she would be lead to heaven by a chorus of angels and welcomed by God with open arms.
Cindy left this world for another, one without pain or sickness, at 2:43 on July 26, 2014. She is survived by her husband Mike, daughters Emily and Caroline, father Philip and brother Michael. She was preceded in death by her mother Bette.
