Sun Prairie - Craig Allan Kvalo, age 55, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at UW Hospital with his family surrounding him. He was born on December 9, 1962. Craig was the eldest child of Karen (Hahn) Kvalo-Lutz and David Kvalo. He went to Sun Prairie Schools and was a member of the class of 1981. Craig drove semi for many years and spent later years as a member of the Operator's Union Local # 139.
Craig is survived by his children Diane ( Heidi Bentzler) Kvalo of Madison, Elijah ( Suzette Ackerman) Kvalo of Madison and Jacob Kvalo of Madison; his mother, Karen (Hahn) Kvalo-Lutz & step-father, John Lutz; aunt, Kristi Hahn; siblings, Cathy (Louis) Canales of Rio, Corey (Patti) Kvalo of DeForest, Christy (Johnny) Waldner of Sun Prairie, Charles Kvalo of Boonton NJ, Casey Kvalo of Sun Prairie, Cheri (Andy) Jirovec of Oswego, IL; step- siblings John R. ( Cheryl) Lutz of Marshall, Barbara ( Ervin) Wethal of Evansville, Doug ( Jennifer) Lutz of Marshall and Heidi ( Greg) Cass of Deforest; many nieces and nephews; and also leaves behind his special friend Consuelo Flores and his four-legged pal Honey.
Craig was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard & Esther Hahn and Neri & Pearl Kvalo; father, David Kvalo, sister, Candy Kvalo and brother Curt Kvalo.
A funeral service will be held at SPRING PRAIRIE LUTHERAN CHURCH, N509 County Road C, De Forest, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Sylvia Lee-Thompson officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. A luncheon will be served following the burial at the church.
