Clifford Pauli

STOUGHTON--Clifford Henry Pauli, age 93 passed away Monday evening, November 19, 2012. Clifford was born in Ipswich, SD on November 14, 1919 the son of Leo and Mary (Clifford) Pauli. He was united in marriage to Irene Peichl on June 28, 1945. Irene preceded him in death in 2001. Clifford was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army in Trinidad and N. Africa. He is a longtime resident of Stoughton having been here since 1968. He lived in Watertown for 20 years and Spring Hill, FL for 10 years. Clifford owned Cottage Grove Auto Sales until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Stoughton American Legion and VFW. Clifford enjoyed traveling in his spare time.

He is survived by his daughter and son, Sonja (Jerrold) Williamson of Sun Prairie and Gregory (Judy) of Stoughton; grandchildren, Janet (Michael) Kelly; Catherine (Andrew) Klubertanz; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Irene; son, Thomas; brothers, Ray, Martin, Donald, Verle; and sister, Mary Bedford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 323 N. Van Buren Street, Stoughton with Monsignor Gerard Healy presiding. Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment with military honors will follow the service at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
