Clifford Bennett

December 20, 1936 — May 20, 2016

Madison - Clifford "Fuzzy" W. Bennett, age 79, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, at UW Hospital in Madison. His passing marks the end of a five-year battle with leukemia. He was born on December 20, 1936, in Highland, Wisconsin the son of George and Elizabeth (Drager) Bennett. Cliff served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the U.S.P.S. in Madison for many years. He split his time between Madison and Tomah, which allowed him to root for the Badgers, while also having time to explore the outdoors fishing and deer hunting. Cliff had a passion for reading James Patterson books before retiring for the night in his recliner. Cliff will be remembered for his great sense of humor, warm personality, and laid back sense of lifestyle. Know that you will be greatly missed Uncle Cliff, and we all hope that you are kicking back sipping on a shot of brandy up there.

He is survived by his nephews, Dave (Paula Finnan) Bennett and Todd (Deb) Bennett; niece, Jane Bennett, along with many other nieces and nephews; and great-nephews, Brock, Kyndle, Kiefer & Zackery Bennett.

A special thank you to Fuzzy's best friends Jerry & Linda Sands and Bill & Joan Nyenhuis, of Madison, for many years of friendship and support.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Gilbert, Albert and Sam, and his sisters, Florence Maurer, Eliza Carter and Rella Kitsemble.

The wishes of this great man include a get-together with friends and family in lieu of a funeral service, details of which are still pending.
