MIDDLETON - Clarence Victor Bozarth, age 88, died on Thursday May 1, 2014 at his home in Middleton. He was born February 7, 1926 in Kewanna, Indiana, the son of the late Alvin and Jennie (Hendry) Bozarth. He worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad in Roann, Indiana while in High School from 1942- 1944. Clarence is a 1951 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science and Agriculture Degree, and also a 1962 graduate of Ball State University with a Masters of Arts Degree. He married Pauline Molitoris on June 27, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. Clarence taught high school science in Indiana for a number of years before working for the United States Food and Drug Administration from 1963- 1981. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, camping and gardening both vegetables and flowers. He also had a knack for hunting the elusive morel mushrooms.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Pauline, daughter; Vickie (Allan) Long of Madison, son; David Bozarth of St. Louis Park, MN., brother; Herman (Virginia) Bozarth of Wabash, IN, sister; Bernice (John) Krause of Plainfield, IL, and sister-in-law; Josephine Bozarth of Lagro, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Rolland Bozarth.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Burial will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. A visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
